"His disciples said, 'Lord, teach us to pray.'" Luke 11:1
We believe in lifelong learning. Much like the first disciples, who were essentially students, we are blessed to spend time at the feet of Jesus.
On Sunday mornings from September to May, the church serves a tasty breakfast for all ages between 8:30 and 9:00. Then there are several opportunities for personal growth at 9:00:
Experiencing God in Grief & Loss to meet at 9:00 a.m. in Brides Room, beginning Sunday, Sept 11!
Adult Spiritual Growth Ministries is pleased to offer a new Class @ 9:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Experiencing God in Grief & Loss will be one of our topical classes to be offered, short or long term, depending on response & participation. Theresa Williamson will lead the discussion & materials will be available through the Church Office. You may call the office, 968-3900, Ann Wright (205-335-7900) or Jo Roy @ 251-967-1740 for details. We trust these topics may address some specific needs of our Church Family. Please feel free to invite friends & family, and to offer additional topics for consideration. May God bless our study & sharing.
Led by Tim and Debbie Fulmer, this class takes up video series with special appeal to younger adults. We're looking for ways to apply these lessons to our daily lives. Currently meeting in the CAYAC (Children and Youth Activity Center)
Led by Jim and Jo Roy, this class follows a well-tested, traditional model from the Uniform Series. The Spring series focuses on the Gospel of John, the Book of Acts, and Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians. Booklets are available for each participant, with daily devotional readings. Room 3, Fellowship Building
Christian Literature Class
Led by Bill Martin and Charles Runels, this class ventures into challenging material and questions. Currently the group is reading the Book of Acts, and learning how tensions among various Jewish sects and the occupying Roman forces shaped the early Christian Church. Room 2, Fellowship Building
Women’s Sunday School Class
Taught by Alice Villadsen, Jamie Davidson, and Dolly Crewes, this class fosters open discussion in an intimate environment. The class uses the Uniform Lesson series, often reading a verse at a time; each teacher brings a particular emphasis that makes for a rounded approach. Room 1, Fellowship Building
New Members Class
